Absolutely LOVED it here. We were upgraded at no charge when our transport broke down and we had to find accommodations for the night with two dogs. The owner was wonderful over the phone and our dogs were welcomed with open arms, enthusiasm even!The restaurant had both superb service and delicious food too. Hoping we break down again next time we come through!
Wasn’t expecting to have food in this quaint little region as most places were closed middayand midweek on our trip towards pickle lake. Food was decent, tasty and huge portions. Had the special wings and fries, chefs salad, calamari with tzatziki, and hungry man’s breakfast. Compared to the outer towns 4+ hours before reaching Pickle Lake (all of which I would not recommend eating at) this was a feast and the place as well as food were clean.
Good value, nice place! I visited in September 2025 and loved seeing bears around town as I have never seen any in the wild before. The hotel also has many food options but I did not have a chance to try. It was also cool to see local art displayed in the room and around the hotel. Shower had great pressure and was hot. They also had good Wi-Fi, it was reliable and tested from my room at 43 Mbps download with 55 Mbps upload Check in/out process was very easy
Nice place with really good food. Stayed here a few times and the rooms are a bit dated but its a place to rest your head. Staff are pretty accommodating and friendly . I would recommend staying or eating here for sure its a good spot in pickle lake
Nice little hotel. Very clean. Has sattelite tv. Damn good burgers, fries are extra. Polite staff. Very friendly. Right on the lake.
The rooms are decent, comfortable enough beds and they're clean. They are a bit dated. The satellite tv has a decent channel selection, but could be better. The wifi will usually do the trick. The restaurant is excellent. I haven't had a bad meal. My only complaint is the bar with no beer..
Pickle Lake Hotel was great! Our crews were on their way to Musselwhite and a needed 6 rooms. Rooms were clean and stocked with everything we needed. Unexpectedly, we needed rooms again for another night, Pickle Lake Hotel pulled through. We weren’t going to make it before the kitchen closed, they let us place a big order, put it in one of the rooms for us and even put the drinks in the fridge. Food was great! Rooms are clean! Staff were friendly and helpful! Thank you for everything! Until next time!
I just went for the restaurant to have a bite to eat. The staff are always very friendly and they're homemade burgers, are actual homemade burgers i've been to places that claim their burgers are homemade to find out they're not. But these people really have homemade burgers, and they are exceptionally damn good. Third, gravy, and their fries, are homemade as well, I haven't had such good takeout. Other than my own cooking in a long time, strongly recommend stop by and get 1 of their burgers
